Art Wall

Friday, January 16, 2015

I recently restored this mid-century modern dresser by adding a splash of paint and polishing the hardware. It looks fantastic, but the wall that it's up against is a bit barren, and in need of some color.

I have ambitions of creating an art wall, so I sourced some decorative photographs, original works, and prints from Pinterest to create a mock collage of what I was envisioning. I'm thrilled with the overall aesthetic and can't wait to start amassing new art so I can put this project in motion.

How did I do this, you ask? Using my handy dandy Sprout by HP, of course. By utilizing the creative station's touch mat, I was easily able to drag, drop and rearrange photos from the web as well as capture high-resolution images of items I already own (see 1st image). Pretty neat, eh?
