Jessica Stein-Tuula Vintage

Sunday, January 20, 2013

Jessica Stein, the ingenious Australian blogger behind Tuula Vinatge, is an adventure seeker,  trend spotter and nauseatingly beautiful.  Her style inspiration comes from the various places she travels as she is deeply influenced by other cultures and their ways of dress.  Her closet is eclectic, mixing high street couture pieces with vintage finds to create an authentic yet simplistically elegant aesthetic. She prefers shopping at flea markets for one-of-a -kind steals but is extremely loyal to Australian designers, Zimmerman and Ellery.  Jessica does not necessarily seek out inspiration from other bloggers, but she is a fan of Man Repeller, Gary Pepper Vintage & fellow Australian trend spotter, Studded Hearts.  She is only in her early twenties, but her ascent in the blogosphere has been rapid as she already boasts more than 14,000 twitter followers and over 355,000 Instagram loyalists.  The combination of her passion for travel, interest in photography and envious sense of style has been imperative to her widespread success.

Leandra Medine-The Man Repeller

Sunday, January 13, 2013

Leandra Medine, more notably known as the Man Repeller, has become somewhat of an overnight sensation in the world of fashion.  She began blogging simply as a hobby in 2010,  but after a routine trip to Topshop, where she and a friend were having a laugh about how the articles of clothing being sold were quite "man-repelling", the direction of her blog was firmly established.  Her whole schtick, really,  is to comically encourage women to dress for themselves and actually like what they are wearing. Within two years of creating Man Repeller, Leandra's gained quite the following due to her humorous tone, experimental style and journalistic abilities.  It also does not hurt that her inner circle consists of the ladies behind Dannijo and Rachel Strugatz, the accessories & social media editor at Women's Wear Daily. She's parlayed her success as a blogger into collaborations with Gryphon, Dannijo and shoe company, Del Toro, as well as an impending book consisting of a collection of essays that is set to be released in the spring of this year.  The stars are aligned for this native New Yorker to continue her rise as an influential sartorialist and voice of persuasion for a new generation of fashion enthused ladies who are assisting in the evolution of the industry!

Pajama Party!

Saturday, November 10, 2012

I don't know about you, but I plan on staying stylishly comfortable this weekend. Pajamas are no longer limited to the boudoir so invest in some silk pieces for an understated glamorous night on the town.  This fun trend should be paired with a clutch, pumps and a tuxedo jacket.
