She began blogging simply as a hobby in 2010, but after a routine trip to Topshop, where she and a friend were having a laugh about how the articles of clothing being sold were quite "man-repelling", the direction of her blog was firmly established. Her whole schtick, really, is to comically encourage women to dress for themselves and actually like what they are wearing. Within two years of creating Man Repeller, Leandra's gained quite the following due to her humorous tone, experimental style and journalistic abilities. It also does not hurt that her inner circle consists of the ladies behind Dannijo and Rachel Strugatz, the accessories & social media editor at Women's Wear Daily. She's parlayed her success as a blogger into collaborations with Gryphon, Dannijo and shoe company, Del Toro, as well as an impending book consisting of a collection of essays that is set to be released in the spring of this year.
