Who has island fever?  I certainly do and I am so excited about this season's reintroduction of tropical prints, bright colors and kitschy accoutrements.  Take me to Palm Beach.  I'll hang out in my caftan with retirees, play poker and sip pina coladas.  Now..that's the life!

TGIF-Let's Hit the Streets in Miami!

Friday, January 11, 2013

"Welcome to Miami/Bienvenido a Miami!"  Miami is evolving into one of the epicenters of fashion due to annual events held there, such as Art Basel and Fashion Week.  Since the 1980s it has been home to some of the top modeling agencies in the world and attracts latin and cuban designers who showcase their collections at fashion week.  A growing number of notable bloggers are sprouting up in the South Beach area, lending credibility to the burgeoning street style scene.  All of these influencers create an overall aesthetic that is colorful, print obsessed,  put together yet not overly accessorized, and fun!  The latin culture, artist community, and beaches collaborate to create the style that you see permeating the streets of this breathtaking and culturally abundant city!

Have a great weekend everyone!
xx
