Interior Desires

Friday, November 15, 2013

Dreaming of bright, spacious interiors, as I sit here in my tiny, yet extremely cozy San Francisco studio.

Happy Friday y'all!

Around The House

Friday, April 19, 2013

Swag from the BareMinerals Moxie Up Event. The ladies who hosted us at Chambers Eat+Drink were unbelievably generous and the lipstick hues are oh so delicious for spring.
I am really digging the combination of our West Elm southwestern inspired rug and Formverket trivet tray.
This was my attempt at creating a succulent garden.  And...this is how it still sits.

More Chatkis and inspirational books adorning our multi-purpose coffee table.
My makeshift closet.  What you can't see, is that the middle of the rack is already bowing.  Time to do some spring purging.
Picked up some paper mache eggs from Rare Device, an independent boutique and art gallery in San Francisco.  Kinda quirky...kinda me.

I hope you and yours have an incredible weekend!
xx

Weekly Vibes

Thursday, April 18, 2013

This space is a compilation of people, things, and ideas that influence my overall aesthetic, ambitions, and creative energy.  I am going to make this a weekly post, because I feel like it's important to visualize what makes you excited, how that evolves and also to be able to share that journey with anyone who is interested.  So here is what is inspiring me this week:

Typography & Design:
I am consistently invigorated and slightly envious of all of the amazingly creative typography and other design elements that I see in the blogosphere. I'm chomping at the bit to redesign my blog so that it is more representative of my personality and overall design taste.

Embellished Flats:
I am a klutz.  I have been known to stumble, twist an ankle, and even occasionally get kicked out of an establishment for being wrongly identified as "drunk", so I am a big fan of flats.  Flats that are spruced up with embellishments?  I'm in.

DIY Home Projects:
Since moving in to our tiny apartment in the Lower Haight nearly two months ago, I feel like I have not had the time to properly decorate, much less start a DIY project.  That's my goal for this weekend.  Any ideas?  There are so many extremely talented DIY-ers that I can learn a thing or two from.

Sporty/Classy:
I am digging the hybrid of sporty and classy.  A baseball cap, trench coat, skinny jeans, and black pumps, make for a casual yet fashion forward statement.

Blogshop:
Next week, I will be interning for Blogshop as it makes a stop in San Francisco Bri Emery, from DesignLoveFest, and also co-founder of the workshop, will be teaching aspiring bloggers and small business owners how to create design elements using Photoshop.  As most of my close friends know, I have long admired Bri's talents, so I am beyond thrilled to get to interact with her as well as meet other creatively like-minded people.

What or who has been a source of inspiration for you lately?

Little House in the City

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

My boyfriend and I have FINALLY somewhat settled into our little home in the Lower Haight/Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco.  I swear...I hope I do not have to move for a very long time!  I found it extremely difficult to consolidate all of our stuff, due to the fact that we both brought a lot from our previous places.  On top of that, our place is tiny, so we had to choose pieces that were complimentary and would fit into the limited space we have.  I took a few shots to show you how things are shaping up.  We still have a long way to go, but we're very happy to be co-nesting.

Enjoy!

Etsy-One Stop for My Favorites Shops!

Friday, November 16, 2012

Etsy truly is a one stop shopping marketplace filled with exclusive vintage and ornate handmade items.  There are so many talented craftsman and vintage hunters who use Etsy's platform to hawk their goods!  For the consumer, the community shopping experience can seem daunting due to the fact that there are so many brilliant independent proprietors to choose from. I've compiled a short list of four of my go-to Etsy marketplace shops, so read on for additional links and information.
